Chronoswiss Watches
Chronoswiss was founded by German-born Gerd Lang, whose obsession with the mechanism of time led him to start his own watchmaking company in 1983. For decades, Lang restored exotic chronograph movements and even upgraded the already exquisite pieces to include further complications, garnering him the nickname of “Mr. Chronograph.” The debut of a regulator watch in 1988 stunned the world, with its distinctive time display that had previously been seen only on clocks and pocket watches. In 1990, Chronoswiss caught the attention of collectors with a rattrapante chronograph that has seen high praise as a coveted piece for enthusiasts, while 1996 saw the creation of the Delphis watch--a unique watch which combined jumping hours with a retrograde minute display. In 1998, Chronoswiss unveiled the Pathos watch, the world's first skeletonized self-winding split-seconds chronograph wristwatch. And in 2001, the Tourbillon Regulator was introduced, an accomplishment of skill and beauty which garnered many international awards. These notable achievements are only a partial list of the Chronoswiss achievements that have left their mark on the world of fine watchmaking.
